Looking to restyle my plates, however the prices are ridiculous. Does anyone know if they ever do sales?

Not that I know of. But yes, the prices are ridiculous.
But I would be willing to pay the $100 a year one. But $440 is a joke ><.
What are you thinking of getting?

I think if RMS was a private company the ICAC would have had them years ago for price fixing. I can't believe the prices people are willing to pay.

Dam. I'm thinking of getting red font on black. Not custom just a restyle. So that'll cost me a one-off fee of $275... which is still too dam high

So much cheaper here in QLD.
Got my standard number turned into slim black & white plates for a one off fee of $165, they look the part on my CJ.
Best part is you get a chose, slim or not, black or white background so you can style it for your car. Other colors cost more but at least we don't have an annual fee and for about $40 I privatized them so they are mine for ever, no more to pay!

Got my wife's plates changed to gold font on black (black CJ) using the original numbers and letter, and they look good. Can't remember how much $$$ I paid, but did it reluctantly because it was a one off fee, and it's what she wanted
Recently looked at replacing my plates on the Patrol with personalised, cause they're ratty and faded.
Can walk into RTA and buy off the shelf as they come yellow plates, but they want a one off $220 ON TOP OF the yearly $$$ for personalised yellow plates. Rang and asked why the extra $$$ when plates off the shelf are yellow? He said "because the personalised yellow is a different shade to the standard" PMSL, why not use the same yellow??????
