Mitsubishi now closing US market

Doubt it.
If Mitsu read between the lines, the Outlander in the US is not a favourable car, back to the drawing board....

Consolidation will drive efficiency. Exporting from Japan to the US must be cheap enough for them (vs the losses in making them in the US).

I guess Australia is not far of ether, market here is down as well. By the look of it European market slowly start to take control. Few years back i could see once in a while a WV or a Audi, now they are everywhere

I don't think it will have any impact here.


It did affect us here when Mitsubishi closed down production of there 2 manufacturing plants in Adelaide

It doesn't say they're leaving the US market, just closing the factory.

I don't see how it'd affect Australia, we already get our Mitsu's from Japan.

If they bumped their prices up here they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. The only thing they have going for them is price really.

Given the AUD slid in the last few years I'm amazed prices here haven't gone up.

True but the price of oil is so low its probably never been cheaper to ship cars around either.
