Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting some custom plates for my Lancer pretty soon and i'm not sure what to get, I want something unique and that stands out, either that or just my name or something.

I wouldn't mind something Lancer related - anyone got any ideas?

I saw "ZoomZoom" on a mazda (mazda3 i think) in Perth a little while ago, that one is pretty cool!
& INS15TNT on an S15 lol - pretty clever

post up any idea's or unrelated cool plates you've seen

It costs around $400 here in Melbourne but that's a one-off and you keep the plates for life. I'm not sure how it works in Perth, but in Sydney I know you have to pay an annual fee to keep them on your car.

How about MIVECJ if it's still available. More like MIVEC then CJ, maybe corny but can certainly be associated with your ride.

jeez 2k for plates is a fair bit, but someone sold the dotcom plates for over 100k didn't they??

They're NSW though and I'm in WA so i'm not sure how that would work.

L4NCER is available on ebay for VIC. Only asking like $250 too last time I checked.

Adeliade has S and R number plates that you can get for $70 and you get to keep them, they are 3 letters followed by 3 numbers. I got SHY - followed by numbers on my beemer, but its hard on a lancer cause there arent really any numbers that go with the lancer. dont know if they have a similar thing in other states.

My idea that I wanted is YENVY - 4
I dont really like all the plates that have NV this and that, just cause there are so many of them in Adelaide, so thats kind of a crack at the people with those plates.. that plate is around $170 in adelaide.. anything with letters followed by at least 1 number (limit of 6 digits) is around that price and u can keep them..

dont know how useful that is seeing as not many people on here are from Adelaide!

There is an M3 beemer driving around the streets here with the plates BLOWM-3...... lol liked that one

If i think of any lancer ones ill post em up as i dont think ill go for that, over here u can get ur plates printed on black plastic in white letters/numbers, which looks good, might do that

Custom plates (no numbers just letters) in Adelaide are $200 a year. i have a black es with a black plate with gold lettering really finishes of the front end cause there is no big white square plate on the front.

Best one of heard of yet was one in New Zealand, 6UL DV8....Yes, I did try to get it here in WA but they said NO.

Most applicable one I've seen, belonged to a P-Plater who put his Silvia nose first into a brick wall and was being drilled by a Cop when I took his photo (photo long missing, sorry) was WRECK 1

i was thinking RA4B11 - MY4B11 - CJ4B11 - but i have like other personal ones that i like too.
too many decisions

im thinking of getting [SCKBNY] but they are $495 in Vic now so i have other things to buy first.

all plates are illegal to sell over ebay. only place they can be sold is with car or via the Personalize plate site of your state, so if i was you dont buy one from ebay its fake or illegal.
