.
Well... It's always hard after a torrid love affair to settle down...
That which at first seems to be a new beginning often ends soon after it's started and what in normal circumstances could have led to a long, happy relationship is over too quickly...
...especially when something younger and more attractive comes along!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, please introduce yourselves to
Zaphod's Third:
No mods yet (other than chucking on a set of cheap 18" wheels), but I've washed it three times in the last week...!

Nearly -
Zaphod's first was the bloo car
Zaphod's second was the 'warm' silver 2011 Activ
Zaphod's Third is this 'cool' silver 2012 Activ with the RA-style front-end
Unfortunately, not being a Lancer, the MicroMachine didn't count towards the total! (but it was a heap of fun and would have been great as a second car...).

ZII (the warm silver one) was picked up & paid for yesterday morning,
ZIII I collected Thursday last week (from Rockhampton! - that was a big day...)
Price... well, let's just say ZII was cheap, ZIII cost me zero dollars, after a small profit on ZII and was a near-wholesale buy from a friend of a friend...

Yep! - went from a 2011 to a 2012 for no-dollars up-front and zero repayments!
I picked up the wheels, with reasonable tyres, for only $400 from Gympie - they had a bit of peppering from stone chips, but half an hour with some gloss black paint and a few cotton buds and they look pretty good! TBH, they look a LOT better in real life than on the photos...
@Andrew, @Kayla: Thanks guys! - One more Lancer and I'll beat the number of Commodores I've owned
(not including the Monaro...)

Three in two months, four since the end of December...
As I said earlier in the thread, a zero-dollar upgrade - be mad not to have done it!

That's actually hit the nail on the head Kayla - I was planning on swapping the front-end out, but by the tme I factored in the cost of the parts, the new wheel arch liners, the under tray, firtting & painting etc it was going to cost well over a grand, so I started looking around and stumbled across this car through a friend of a friend and got it nearly wholesale! - so, basically it was new-for-old!
