Annoyed with repairer
Took the Lancer to have new strut installed (under warranty). Got 5 minutes down the road and rang the dealership and told them there was a noise present. Returned to dealer and mechanic said he noticed the bush at the top was marked but thought it was OK. They guaranteed the car was safe until they ordered and fitted the bush the next week. That afternoon the air conditioning compressor went, so they said they would do it all in the same day. Next morning, the car runs off the road! The top bracket of the strut cracked and the car oversteered. Immediately got it back to dealership and demanded a loan car and told them I didn't want my car back until the compressor and strut was repaired. Meanwhile 13 days later I get my car back and they wonder why I'm angry! The Lancer had got a dent in the door from the two post hoist, the mag wheel where the shocky leaked and the mechanic used his filthy greasy hands needs degreasing and the computer was telling me the car was using 26 litres per 100 K's and I've been told that could be due to the fact that someone at the dealership thrashed the car and the computer should reset itself?? If only I could name and shame this dealer.
Wow I would be infuriated too I would hunt them down for all repairs (especially the dent), in regards to the 26L/100km, that could be due to the car sitting idling for an extended period of time, I left my EVO on for two hours once after work (talking with employees), and had a similar usage ~30L/100km) when I went to drive, I reset my trip computer as I do not like the reminder if how much fuel I use

go to Mitsubishi Australia and get them to look in to it because thats not good enough ... if you get no where with them head to consumer affairs or your states equal agency for advice ... they should be able to let u know where u standMiss Wendy wrote:Kelly Mitsubishi at Cardiff NSW is where I bought the car, but I actually had to take the car across the road to Kelly Holden to have the warranty work/damage done.

I always stick to the same mechanic (who can log book service). The same guy at the front counter is the same guy that works on my car, so if i have any questions or worries i can talk to him about it. My wife has a hilux ute and took it to a dealership for servicing and they stuffed her around big time. Now we only ever go to our trusted mechanic.
so many stories of crappy dealerships servicing cars.
seriously they have stickt policies and guidliness as to how they treat our 'assests'

Not to be on the dealership side, but just found this from a Google search, which appears that you can use an oil for diff or manual transmission
