Just something to think about if You are considering buying a car that has lived in England......rear lower control arms off a 5yr old DB7 Aston Martin.

I would think that what caused that is all the minerals in our soils over her had corroded it as it was not built for our conditions

maybe because of the snow? the roads are salted?

It would be cause they salt the roads in the uk to help melt the snow and ice so you can imagine what that does to metal. In think daryl mentioned he was going over there.

Yeah it's because of the snow and the effort required to melt it (using salt or something).
This kind of stuff happens in Canada too. I watched a Mighty Car Mods episode and a 3 year old Mazda 3 has it's sway bar already rusting.
