Just a friendly reminder for those in NSW & WA
(that's all I know of at this stage)
Double demerits apply for a roughly 2 week period
NSW
Double demerit points will be in place from 12.01am Friday 21 December 2012 until 11.59pm on Tuesday 1 January 2013 for speeding, seatbelt and helmet offences.
Operation "Safe Arrival"
The operation will commence at 12.01am (0001 hours) this Friday 21 December 2012 and conclude 15 days later at 11.59pm on Friday 4 January 2013.

2012/13 Christmas and New Year
Friday 21 December 2012 to Sunday 6 January 2013 inclusive
"The accrual of double demerit points applies to drink and drug driving, not wearing seat belts, speeding and riding in the back of utilities, trucks and panel vans. Fines remain the same during double demerit periods."
