Harrrooowwww
Ive got a quick question for you guys
as many know, ive lost my license twice and have it back now obviously however im a little confused on this part of it because there seems to be something contradictory...
i obtained my license shortly after my birthday, ended up losing it towards the end of the year, went on a 1 point demerit program and lost it again for 6 months and got it back towards the middle of this year.
Question i have is, on my license it states that my P1 ends on 7/1/2012 however my license expires on 8/6/2014
Does that mean I will go onto a full license after this date because i know according to everyone on greens, you need to hold it for 3 years. but im in a wierd situation were ive lost my license a number of times and its filled up that period.
it states on the vicroads website that i have to hold my green p's for a minimum of 3 years however my license dates contradict that. Could there be a chance this might be a loop hole or just a mistake?
cheers guys

As far as the RMS is concerned, you have only been on your P2's during the time you held them.
The time spent without a license does not count.
After your have completed 3 years of P2's (again, time spent actually holding the license) you will move onto a full license.

I'd say you need to hold it for 3 VALID years, so discount the time you were suspended....

Thats what i had a feeling it would be, but i wasnt sure since my actual license was telling me something different. however this is the updated license i recieved when i got my license back from the 6 month suspension...
chances are i still have to sit on greens for 3 years however i was confused as hell when i took a look at my license...

just reading on vic roads it says that licenses must be renewed when the license expires. however my license was renewed when i got it back from the 6 month suspension because they had to update my P1 probatioary period. hence it ending on 7/1/2013.
technically, when i first got my Ps when i was 18, shouldnt the license i got issued then not have expired till i was onto my full license? ie 4 years ( on p1 for 1 year, 3 years on p2 )
my friend has held his license and not lost it however his license has a similar expiry date to mine (as he got it at a similar age/time as me) and his has not been renewed
