Firstly welcome,
Depending on your insurance policy, unless you have your coil overs included in your insurance policy they won't pay you for them unless they are aware of them and you have added them.
Secondly, coil overs aren't illegal, it's the height setting which is deemed legal or not.
And unless your crash was caused by your coil overs (which they'd have to fall out or something which made you crash) it is extremely hard for them to pin them on your coil overs.
Lastly, you'll have more trouble with warranty then insurance companies lol
