I would look for a 3-4 year old Lotus...
or
2nd hand Nissan 350z (want plenty of money left over though)
A decent s15 spec r
A 2001 Supra VVTI
A Toyota MR2 Spyder ( ) I just like the shape when body kitted.
2nd hand Mazda RX8
Might have to think of some more........

I would go for...saving it and it goes towards my lambo gallardo
but if i had to...id buy an evo 9 and then mod the shit outa it. I love the look of the evo 9. It would have to be in blue though. love the blues that the lancers have.
I stay loyal to mitsu
EDIT: Haha i just read the title properely.
Id probley get some sort of ford xr8. one of the late models though
Im not sure how much it would set you back but im sure it would be more than 40, but it would have to be a Shelby GT500. BEAST CAR

Didn't check to see where vaelehn came from, but that makes a good discussion............The base 370z in the US goes for $29990 plus orc.
In AUS it'll go for $68000. The US-AUS dollar conversio is 71c.
So in comparison its basically $68k vs $42.3k................hmmm.......Is it just me, or is there something missing.........like an extremely large amount of money getting grifted out of aussie car buyers from either dealers, governments. Surely the import tax isn't that high for nissan here!!!! Thats probably the highest difference from US-AUS I have calculated.
