Price for a 2009 VR Lancer

Postby vr » Tue Aug 28, 2012 9:12 pm

What is a silver VR platinum CVT with 150000 klms worth in good condition?

I have been offered $7000 trade in.

I think it is worth a bit more than that.

The MMCS will be replaced with a standard radio.

Any ideas on price.

How hard is it to change over the MMCS to my other car it's a RX Lancer.

that Kms on it will be the killer... 150,000 is a LOT for a 2009 model car (i have an 08 and only at 88,000)

God Damm that's a lot of km's and that will be why your trade in is so low
if you check redbook it has trade in price at $11,600 - $13,600 for average kms of 45,000 - 75,000

Yea I know the kms are a problem.

It been a trouble free car.

All I have done is regular services and tyres when needed.

It has 1 recall just after I bought the car and thats it

Even if the kms are high, the trade-in offer is quite a rip-off. You should be able to push to near $10K, otherwise look for another dealer.

Best way to gauge it is,look on car sales and see how much 09 VR platunums are from dealer. If there going for 15k as a example, you should at least get 11k. Dealers generally mark up around 4k after you trade your car.

So what car are you trading it with, the RX or something else?

Not sure still looking.
I30 but the sterring feels strange to me but very nice car
Cruze 1.4 turbo no foot rest and the gear box can not decide what gear to be in
Going to drive a Focus in the next couple of days
Will not buy a Toyota or Mazda
IF the lancer was not the same shape I would buy another Lancer
