Hi everyone, in spirit of the bike in the back of a sport back thread. I was just wondering if anyone uses non towbar bike racks. Such as roof racks and the ones that strap to the boot. I'm looking for suggestions and opinions. I was thinking of the strap type, but not to sure if its going to damaged the paint or body work at all.

Yes i just got told they can damage the paint. The best roof racks to use are the proper bike racks that you remove the front wheel and it bolts on to where the front wheel is. Hope that's what you looking for I don't fully understand what you mean strap type but hope this helps

Cheers for that. That's what I've decided on. I got an email back from a seller and the ones that strap to the boot lid won't work with a spoiler.

Never heard of one that come of a boot lid. You can get a bike roof rack or you can get those one that comes off you towbar. The bolt On to the towbar but thats only If you have a towbar fitted. Wish you luck mate. I will look around on the web for more ideas.

Any suggestions on a roof rack type bike holder. Its not going on the Ralliart it will go on my older GLXI lancer
