I got a quote for myself not too long ago, expensive - but they cover me for everything and anything
I am too considering it because once you at performance Mods the others shrug you off...

I'm probably going to be switching to them.
Bear in mind JustCar Insurance has branches in each state and all states process prices quite differently.
The prices from the rest have gone through the roof this year.
I don't have access to NRMA here in VIC, so JustCar it is.
AAMI want A$1400+ to insure my Olympic Ed with ALL its mods whilst JustCar will do the same for A$908.
i've called JustCar to ask what a claims process entails.
They say in a situation, where the other driver is at fault, they will claim against the other drivers insurance, so no matter there, there's no claim nor charges. I just get 2 quotes from 2 repair shops approved by them (checked that the 2 I go to are on that list) and they assess the car and award it to one of the 2.
If it's my fault, I need to take the car for the assessment. Same thing as above, get the quotes and they will award it to either one.

My experience. First of all I am 23, perfect driving record, no accident history. Car in question is a Silvia S15, Australian Delivered, Moded.
Just car quoted me $3500
I do not know how they are when it comes times to claim
Nrma Quoted me $1800
They go by agreed value so as long as ur mods are road worthy its covered. You can also nominate your preferred workshop. and deliver your car there yourself. so you can possibly remove some mods if need be.
In the end this was a easy choice for me.

I was with Just Car for 5 years, because when I was a 20yo with a Skyline, it was the only choice. Every time I made a modification they were more than happy to add it to the policy, and even sometimes bumped up the Agreed Value for free.
When I bought the Ralliart (then age 25), I figured it was time to shop around but then decided I would just switch to the new car and figure it out once it was up for renewal in 5-6months. Just had to pay a little bit more once I swapped to the new car.
I had a not-at-fault accident about two weeks before the end of the cover. I called them up gave them the driver's name, number and rego - two days later the car was at the assessment centre and a few days after that it was back to me all fixed with genuine parts. There was just one week between crashing and having it back. When I dropped it off there was a free taxi to get me to work, and to get me from work to the repairers once it was ready. I could not have been happier with the whole process and felt bad for planning to leave them.
When the renewal came, it was $714, which was by far and away the cheapest option out there, and with an agreed value of $43500. I still wanted to change, as Just Car has only a 12 month new for old replacement, whereas most others have 2 years. Also, Just Car doesnt give you the option of windscreen cover or hire car (not that I ended up getting these anyway).
Next cheapest was AAMI at $900 and something, and everyone else was around $1300 or MORE! In Queensland, NRMA have a beat-by-10% guarantee, so I called them up, was quoted their "very competitive $1300" with agreed value of $36000. I politely told them Just Car was half that and with a higher value, and they came through with a $642.60 premium @ $43,500.
So thats my story, from someone who has actually made claims through Just Car, I found them very good, very cheap and the only reason I switched was because of the new-for-old being only 12mths. And the cover between them and any other brand is no different from my research, only that you can't get extras like glass and taxi.

Yeah that is crap... if they are like AAMI ( who underwrites them ) they single out aftermarket stereos and only insure them up to a certain percentage of the agree value.
Suncorp ( AAMI, Just Car, APIA, GIO, Insure my ride etc ) has started to outsource back office jobs so what influence that will have on peoples claims experiences over the next year or so will be interesting.
Love that car!
ive been with just car (with shannons now) and must admit, they were pretty good to deal with. one of the shops on their list was my normal (family) crash repairer and couldn't have been more happier. a excel smashed my parked car from the rear and luckily my wife was having a smoke outside and noticed the plate - the claim didn't cost me anything and while they were there, they fixed a few dents and scratches at the same time i've had a couple of claims through them (granted was with my jzx100 and subie) - the only thing was an extra excess if the car was stolen.
when i moved to my old house, just cars came to the rescue as shannons wouldn't insure my car since it wasn't a lockup garage - just cars insured it even though it was parked on the street

I had a wee scrape the other week.
I'm with Just Car and the guy on the phone had no clue about the claims process!
My excess (due to my age), was $750. Then my premium went up $350 when I did a quote.
You don't necessarily get 'genuine' parts and no real choice of repairer.
They tell you where to go and they choose the cheapest out of 3 quotes.
When my insurances comes due end of this month, I WILL be changing.
I don't mind spending a bit more if I get to choose who repairs my car and I get a lot more perks (windscreen replacement @ no extra cost, hire car, taxi costs & 2 year new car replacement)
My sister, when she had an accident through them, her premium went up $400 for a $500 accident.
Shop around first is my best advise. Because cheap isn't always better.
Read all T&C's and the claims processes + what you get

I'm with Just Car... The only claim I've made was for a windscreen and that was no problem from Just Car's end (the window shop on the other hand ).
I switched to Just Car because RAC put my rates up after my first car was written off even though it was deemed to be the other driver's fault. No way we were accepting that.
