I think you mean the other way round. The diameter would be in mm cause if you had a 24" diameter bar (ie: circumference) it would be the size of a basketball or something! Inch = length, mm = diameter/circumference/thickness would make more sense.

where are inches talked about erin?

I'm getting so annoyed at people asking questions that have been answered in so many threads before...

Just because its easy to ask for an answer here doesn't mean you shouldn't bother searching the forum or even google first...

Most of this thread is people getting confused because they don't have much information (information that is freely available in older threads) or because they don't know what to get (which has been discussed and reviewed to death in older threads as well).

Hell, I'm even getting annoyed at repeating myself so often. I'm being turned into a grumpy old man.

Thanks all! Have a brother in law who used to be a front end specialist before switching jobs.......hmmm wonder if I can get him to make contact with his ppl in the know.

Boaty, like that term! Reminds me of my very first car, Morris 1100 with the very floaty ride! Drove a brand spanking new Corolla at work the other day and that was great at cornering, although I took them slow because its what I'm used to now lol...

Sway bars...gotcha. Thanks and glad it's just not me!

Sorry, I'm new on here and couldn't work out how to navigate the forum properly when I posted, or what section to look under. Won't happen again. :( but thanks to everyone for the discussion.

Thank you Steve :)

My brother in law has said that he can get onto his contacts and then he can actually fit them for me. Hoping it will change the ride, and possibly prolong my tyre life!

Thanks everyone for the help!
