My BFs car does it all the time.

See, partly why i don't have a RA/Evo. It's not just about affording the car itself, but also the EXTRA costs involved in taking care of it IE servicing.

Don't forget insurance!

If I were to purchase an Evolution X in the next couple of years, I'd have to pay around $4,000.00 for insurance.

The insurance cost isn't really the car's fault ..........Mine only costs me $600 a year.

The insurance is at least partially the car's fault - your car is pretty much new, and no doubt your quote was obtained prior to driving the car out of the dealership. The older a car is, the higher the premiums. I found that out when I got quoted something like $1,500-$2,000 on a brand new $70,000 car, then $3,000 or so on a ~10 year old $15,000-$20,000 BMW 3-Series.

Notwithstanding the above ... $600.00! On full registration (i.e. not 90 day club permit)? Are you trying to elicit the ire of all the P platers on here :P
Oh well, that's how a good driving history and not being labelled a 'hoon' will reward you.

Same. P platers can suck it up :P Even as a 20yo with a turbo Skyline in Sydney it cost me no more than $2000, so if you need to pay more than that its your own fault!

My Lancer would cost me about $2,200 if it was in my name.. I have no driving history, just a 19yo P Plater

Not sure if anybody else has these problems but here are mine on my 2009 Lancer ES hatch.
- glove box is a little small
- No front cabin lights only the middle
- a little loud but i can deal with it
- Mine doesn't have the steering wheel audio controls
- For some reason, my pick up speed isn't that great. Like it seems to struggle to get from 1st gear into 2nd gear staying at about 3 rpm for a few seconds before clicking over. (mines an auto, please no hate! haha)

Do i need to turn battery off first? or can i just go ahead and get stuck into it?

I also can't find anywhere to get them, all the wreckers i've asked want me to buy the whole steering wheel :(

I dislike that the cup holder can only hold cans and not 600ml bottles or other water bottles.. ;P but i guess that's why they put the bigger cup holders in the door :P

that's my only complaint really... :S
