I kissed a Carolla today!
Work car park, wet polished concrete, took the corner as I do usually but car just lost traction and just slid. It was a low speed so I bent my bumper and the Carolla only lost paint on it's rear bumper.
Will probably just be a repaint for the rear bumper.

Thanks for the support guys :)

Ching: I park my car in my garage all the time, except for when I go to my girlfriend's house I park it on the street. And this happens :(

Pete: I hope you left a note on the Corolla :P

Ben: All they took was about 10 bucks in loose change from the centre console. They didn't even take my GPS! My guess is a druggie really needed some cash. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before so when I walked outside and saw the window smashed in it was sort of surreal... :( Now I'm just angry and 400 bucks short!

Bugga! Dont you have comprehensive insurance? Most policies have a free Windscreen(Glass) replacement...well at least 1 per year...without any excess I believe
I suggest reading your PDS 'properly'

got a receipt? Claim it on insurance after the fact and see if they re-imburse.

The guy was still in his car as he had literally just pulled into the car space. He's was fine about it.

Oh yeah, good idea thanks Pete I'll call them tomorrow :)

Whenever I close the door I can still hear glass chips rattling inside the door (this is after fixing btw), is it easy to get inside the door myself to clean it up?

Yes, sorta. The inside plastic door trim clips off, as long as you undo a couple of screws hidden behind the cap where the inside door latch is and arm rest on the door.
Once off, the "real" inside of the door has cut out holes, but they are covered in a transluecent plastic film, you'll have to cut that plastic film away to get access to the "inside" and vacuum the shards of glass.

All the hassle you have to go through for a lousy $10 ffs. It's a crazy place we live in.

Sweet thanks I'll get onto it this weekend. The plastic film isn't important is it? Why is it there?

After only having this car for 6 months I took it in for it's 15,000km service.. God I racked up the kilometers quick.
