At the start of the tape just dictate a letter to yourself and tell them you were recording a letter you were planning to write to someone else. Then, you were stopped by the officer. Tell him you didn't know you were still recording, and get your lawyer to ask the cop the correct procedure they should use to talk to drivers, and then ask what procedure he used on you. When he lies, you may be able to prove wrong. There are loopholes that lawyers use. Surely a crooked lawyer can beat a crooked cop!
Theres a video drive recorder sold by radars.com.au but it's pretty bulky
