I dont either, but since I lost my licence I got nothing BUT time. Catching up on alot of things ive neglected on the car for a while. Gunna have her all 100% for when I get my licence back :)

I used 50% grade shadecloth. I think I went a bit overboard with mine but it worked well. I fixed it at the bottom by double stapling a pocket in the bottom edge just big enough to slide a door width carpet edge in to - the carpet edge was cut into halves and re-drilled to fit the bolt spacing for the bumper/stone tray bolts. I then stapled the electrical tape down as it doesn't stick very well to the shadecloth and put another strip of electrical tape down the inside to cover the staples to prevent them from scraping the paintwork. The final bit is to cable tie the edges to the driving light surrounds to keep it flat against the grill.

If you like, I will post some pics of it tomorrow to give you some idea of what I'm talking about.

Installed my X-Facotr side skirts and front air dams.

Air dams were pretty easy, but the side skirts were a pain in the ass. Turned out well though

I fitted a dome light to my roof lining. It looks neat.

Now I just need sound proofing to arrive so I can fit it to the roof before putting the car back together.

Did an oil change and filter replacement. Used some Penrite 5w-50 Fully synthetic oil with the mistubishi OEM filter :)

Tomorrow will be cleaning and degreasing rear suspension componants, painting my rear calipers red and painting the hubs black...

Put that in properly today from cjchad. Replaces the chipboard thing and the carpet. Swapped it for the plastic liner not so much for weight reasons (weighs around the same as the other two bits) but for moving the battery to the boot later on. Going to need all the room I can get in the engine bay.

Off to Ford and Subaru tomorrow to look at engine bays :) Photo's wont do as I need to see how some things are placed... Test fits for something roughly the size of a shoe box :wink:

Claybared the car today,great results,so smooth now,the clay bar is nearly black and i thought my car was clean. followed it up with a wax.

Unfortunately you can not adjust your lights while you are driving for the road condition, unlike projectors with auto levelling.

Driving around the city/suburbs it is just not necessary. There are so many other vehicles on the road and street lights around.

Lighting has come such a long way in the last 30 years. There are plenty of good legal options available that are less annoying to other drivers.

Remember the roads are there to be shared and we all should have respect for others on the roads. Fitting HID's is just disrespectful!

Despite the dergogatory term used by fazzle, he is right in saying you are blinding everybody due to your choice of using a HID in a reflector.

There have been threads on this forum discussing this.

Furthermore aspir3 is right in saying, there is NO adjustment (magic position) where it won't blind people.

HIDs in reflectors result in a large amount of glare. Do not mistake this for real light. This is due to the way the reflector "throws" out the light. There is no adjustment which will reduce or curb this. You require projectors to prevent this dispersion and levellers to ensure that the light is projected at the right height. It has been reported elsewhere that using high-K HID kits in reflectors will result in a "burn" halo on you headlight plastic covers as well.

The choice lies with you as it is afterall your car but it would be very naive of you to believe that you have a "magic" position where you have the right settings which will not cause glare and blind other drivers.
