Guitar hero is awesome, so far I've been able to pass EVERY song in expert on any guitar hero game.

Oh, except for "Live for everything, die for nothing" by Children of Bodom, I haven't done that yet but I haven't practised :P

Depends what you play which size though.
When i play Metal, i use my Gibson Sg with Heavy bottom and slinky top. Gives really powerful power chords through the bottom end and screaching highs for any solo's
If im playing normal alternative genre's without too much distortion you cant go past Hybrid slinky's, i've got these on my Fender american custom ash.
Rememer to always wipe your strings down after every session, so dead skin doesnt build up and the oil from your fingers dont ruin the string, can make your string last up to three times longer.

You forgot to mention the blood, from being too hardcore 8)

Sweet! I'm just on 'hard' at the moment, can pass pretty much everything in World Tour and GH:Metallica on hard.. Struggle a bit on a couple though. Starpower FTW! LOL

Sorry to go thread digging, but I'm sure you would rather this than a new thread.

What pedals you guys have in your arsenal? I don't have any so I'm restricted to using reverb, distortion, and overdrive... And does anyone know what 'FDD' means? I have a button on my amp and it says FDD under it

Was thinking of getting a BOSS PH-3 Phase Shifter pedal, it sounds like you can make some pretty trippy sounds from it

just found this thread.

Although I don't really play much anymore I have a Fernandes Supergrade Les Paul in Ebony (Les Paul Black Beauty copy) and an Ashton Dualer electric acoustic.

Have found some Zoom 505's on ebay recently. I just use a Peavey Rage and its fairly harsh so hopefully with the 505 I will be able to soften it a bit and gets some nice sounds.

I need new/better pickups though :P

It looks very nice :D have no idea what it's capable of though... at least its got a bridge that can move? My guitar has a fixed bridge so I can't use whammy bars :( but it stays in tune nicely even if I don't play it for extended periods of time

Heya,

Ive been playing guitar for about 5 years. Im on about 5 CD's recorded on the East Coast, West Coast of America, Melbourne and Sydney with various acts :P

I rock this custom Telecaster called Hahn.
Its basicly replicating a vintage Tele with hand coiled hot rod pick ups. Custom painted sparkley gold with a black pick guard. It is the cleanest and yet punchiest guitar ive ever heard in my life, and i own about 15 guitars.

I use a Vox head running through an orange cab.
Some cool acoustics to check out are Babicz, theyre custom built in NY i have a couple of them and i love these old Ibanez Concords, theyre basicly a Gibson knockoff but i reckon they sound better.
