Ta D! - never thought of that... dunno how blue would go on this one - thinking of painting the upcoming VRX wheels that Lancer 'champagne' colour (same colour as Akram's car)

Cheers Michael! - glad to be back in a Lancer honestly! - just gotta find an RA front-end like yours!
You gonna come on the next drive day?

I gotta be honest,
I'm not exactly a fan of the bottom one xD I mean each to their own But I don't think it suits :S

i agree, the blue plasti-dip definitely is not the best
lantourismo wrote:I agree dont paint then anything colourful, I think the OEM rims in the titanium dark grey colour that the aspires came in would suit, or a dark brassy sort of colour
+1 i would probably would not go full coloured rims unless you go all out with a theme from what i have seen it takes $$$ (an agressive set up) to really pull off the look, i would go for more subtle hints of colour, they were purely just ideas for something different,
I have a subtle black and red theme on my evo, partially my choice, partially inherited as the parts i have obtained, so theme will eventually be pulled off through out ie starting in the engine bay (piping and cf) then flowing out the front bar (including headlights with red shelds etc), then through the side with some red lugnuts on dark wheels and some cf accents, then through the back with more cf and the red MR badge eventually, so on and so forth the list could potentially go on forever.

that evo is so sexy
any whoo, given this is Martin i am sure that we will see his personality through out the car ,

Wow! - Dion's been busy!
If the car was the 'cool' silver, I like the second-last set.
At this stage I figure the best option is to paint them a double-strength mix of the body colour, not too dark or showy, but obviously colour-co-ordinated...!
Yah. Doesn't work does it...
The ones I'm picking up are the older RA wheels that came n silver - the guy selling them has had them painted black, so they may be left that way at first while I save the $$$ to get them painted. Or I'll just do it myself...
I think we can all be fairly confident of that...
oooyeah!

Repeated post Martin. Yeah this colour of car/ or the champagne seems to suit the contrast of dark highlights. Kinda like how the blue of your previous lancer suited the contrast of silver highlights. Maybe hold of on the silver guard trim when you black out the grill I think it will look better without it.
Seffy wrote: Aw man, I was hoping he would consider something a little flashy. Tiffany Blue ftw! But yeah, in the end you got the final say since its your car Martin. I can very well tell you will give your car the good colour wheel treatment.
Mmmm tiffany blue ftw,
