Nah no serial numbers or anything unfortunately.. I'm hopeing the police can manage to do a search of the first part of the plate and hopefully round it down to a couple of people.

The mark on the lens actually look like a ed/el falcon. The straight markings on the vs go all the way top to bottom. When the ef one have the funny markings just in the middle of the lens on like in the picture you provided

I would go back and say this is the first 3 letters its and its**this colour car** depend what colour paints mark is on the car. And say I might be a ef falcon and that might rule it down to 10 cars in your area.

A forensics team can identify it and everything.. Can't be that hard for them to ask the forensics people a favour identifying it? ;-;

Yeah, I'm expecting a call at some stage and if they say they have nothing ill give them those models of cars... Thanks heaps guys... They do look like those Ford's. Hopefull it gets sorted I don't enjoy the idea of a higher premium all because of some dropkick who was too chickenshit to stop.

Ef/el falcon came in a sapphire model so id say that that is your best bet also being a previous ford man that does look similar to the front indicator

all the best with the hunt Jacob but hey, i think the cops will put this in the "too hard" basket. after all there`s rapists and murderers out there occupying they`re time.

Here's a thought - Jacob, you should nip down to a pick-a-part type wrecking yard with the headlight/indicator cover and compare/contrast it to models there to see if you find a reasonably accurate match

Going to ask the panel beater what he thinks about it/what car it is from.. if he's unsure ill probably go to a wreckers for sure... From looking at pics on the net and the piece in my hand, imo its a 95% sure thing those mid to late 90s Ford's...
