I use a set of these... http://caravansplus.com.au/catalog/prod ... ts_id=2328

I can get to the undertray etc, and change oil.. Easy enough to get the car onto them as long as it isn't too low. I actually bought them to make it easier to get my jack under the car, but work well as ramps too :)

Hehe..I get what you're saying.
Didnt say I am trying to cut corners for safety...was just asking if anyone had any experience with those jack stands. But your inputs are acknowledged :)

my 2c worth..

I used the OEM Scissor Jack that comes with the car with SCA 3000kg Stands (on sale $30) under front both sides while doing front brake callipers..

http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online ... escription

but never again, as very scary using a Sciccor Jack to its MAX limit so I'm saving for a good quality Trolly Jack like "Leg It" shows.

Moral of the story.....OVER engineer for god's sake...

So did you find the OEM jack 'unsafe'... But no problems with the stands I take it? Or would you just not use them Both(jack & SCA stands)? You're spot on to answering my query.

YES = OEM jack feels 'unsafe' (emergency jack for break down's) tho I did get it high enough to temp so could get Stands under car..

SCA brand I dont have a problem with but I go for over the weight limits & now will get a Trolly jack for future work.
"Moral of the story.....OVER engineer for god's sake..."

I will be lowering springs soon so a Low Profile Trolly Jack is what I'm saving for ATM..

BTW i grew up with a trucker family and have seen a truck fall off a JACK with ME under part of it :-< So have the right Tool for the Job makes it easy & MORE SAFER...
