Installed my Injen CAI (finally!) and new cabin air filter.
Also copped some spitting rain so now it looks nice and dirty.....

ahh i didnt do much i went and got all my things for my 30k service
Drift oil filter
Castrol Edge 0W-40 full synth oil
K&N filter cleaner and oil
and for fun a bug cleaner sponge.
damn oil is expensive
but they did have trust motor oil at the autobarn in clayton i was going to get it but it came in only 4ltr bottles and they were $70 a pop so you would have to get 2 to do a service. apparently its good stuff - ill stick to castrol.

Thanks for the tip. I have used a single layer of 50% to let as much air through as possible. I had thought of using fly screen but it felt a bit abrasive and didn't want to have that against the paint work. Will keep an eye on temps tho. Cheers.

Installed a set of lock nuts. Apparently someone's car at the University parking lots got jacked. Came back to find the car on bricks.
Not saying my wheels are worth stealing but I'd rather not have the hassle.
Now most Lock Nut sets are for aftermarket wheels but there's an OEM set to fit stock VRX/Aspire wheels:
The part is:
MZ56520EX - W/Lock Nut
RRP= A$78+
CCJ= A$ 75
Made in the USA and by McGard for Mitsu which explains the high price. There is a a cheaper locally sourced alternative for the budget concious:
DS000378 Lock Nut Set Wheel
RRP= A$18+
CCJ = A$18
*Yes you only save on GST
The difference is that the "key fitment" for the McGard is internal to the nut and is unique (no replicas). The locally sourced one has an "external key" which is easily mimic-ed.
