This is probably the first Lancer better than its Corolla counterpart. For the same money, you get:
1. Handsome looks vs mediocre styling
2. 2.0 vs 1.8-litre engine
3. Independent rear suspension vs torsion beam
4. CVT vs 4-speed automatic (though it's 5 vs 6-speed for manual versions)
5. Cruise control standard vs option
6. ESC standard vs option
7. Knee airbag vs no knee airbag even as option
That's more value, better exterior design, performance, handling and fun.

I have to pick one???
It's smooth to drive. Also my BF commented it's like being in an executive's car. (He's a Public Servant)
Oh yeah... not as many techie toys as a Holden Cruise or a Ford Fiesta Zetec (drove both when I was trying to decide what to get) but the CJ was a much nicer drive.

Are you serious? The Cruze in base form like your RX is worthless, no features at all - our Lancers have more features than the Cruze (I struggled to see what was so good about the Cruze when it first arrived.... i was searching for things that the Cruze didn't have).... only in the CDXI Cruze does it give the VR a run for it's money, and the VRX and Aspire don't compete in the same league as the CDXI....
Fiesta Zetec is also a more sporty drive, and yes, has more technical doodads than your RX Lancer, but it's not as safe (5 airbags even with 5 Star NCAP) and the drum rear brakes..... need I say more?
But yes, fully agree that the Lancer is much nicer to drive (I have driven them both too).

I would have to say the looks especially the lightning blue paint. I also love all the features I have in my vrx I think for its price it has some of the most features of any comparable car. I could be wrong but, "Love that car".
Another point that has come to mind that I love is the fact that the stock lancer indicators are very bright and very easy to see unlike many other newer cars. I hate some cars that when on a round-about you can not see that their indicator is on until they reach a certain angle, due to the light being dissipated through the housing design.
