Yep!

It seems as though it's just one of those service departments that does every brand and doesn't really specialise - as you and Jade suggested, I may have to look further afield for a decent service department....

Only technicians that have undertaken specific training are meant to work on RA's and Evo's. Ask them if this was the case. I do hope they are Ralliart / Evo dealer / service dept Martin otherwise they shouldn't touch your car.

Most will only have one qualified person my Mitsubishi have 2 now however 1 on light duties at the moment. Don't be afraid to ask to meet the person working on your car, form a relationship with them, offer to take them for a drive so you can replicate problem and point it out, build some trust, it's not easy (even harder being a girl that knows about cars) it's taken me a few years and countless problems to get where I am with my service department.
