Sorry to bump yet another old thread but I'm having this issue with the same vent in my 2010 CJ Lancer.

So I could get this fixed under warranty? It annoys the CRAP out of me too!

u could get them replaced under warranty but having tried that, i found the replacements are no better than the old ones :(

Mine are not 100% but I haven't had an issue as the AC works fine and I just adjust the temp when I need more air flow.

My issue is the passenger side vent is pushed in a little bit.

The problem is the gap means the control vent can dislodge from the opening mechanism inside the vent.

Just need to how you safely remove the vent to try and fix it. I assume the dash wide trim that runs under the stereo is removed, done that before.

But then what? Do I just yank at it from the bottom edge are are there more screws to remove?
