Has anyone changed their front seats to like BRIDE, RECARO or anything ?
Just wondering what you have to do to get rid of the beeping that tells you to put your seat belt on LOL Driver and passenger side.
OR it doesnt matter. because one you put your seat belt off its off ?
Thanks guys!

There is a plug that you can pull out which is connected to the seat-belt holster.
Not sure what color it is however it is NOT yellow. that is the airbags.
For passenger there are sensors in the seats that also detect weight. as some times while braking heavily my laptop sets the passenger belt up thingo off.

Sounds like the 2008's didnt have passenger seatbelt warnings then Erin.
For the driver and passenger side when fitting aftermarket seats you reuse the stock seat belt stalk. So you just plug it in as your driving and its fine, the passenger side is also weight sensitive and you can not easily convert the sensors for that over, so just drive with the passenger seat belt plugged in all the time. The real issue is the side airbags. Have to trick them using resistors, then bye bye insurance claim when you crash because the car is now "unroad worthy"

In some states you also need a modification plate to fit different seats in your car. If the original seats had air bags you probably won't be able to get a mod plate an you can be defected for it as well as voiding your insurance.

Depending on the model year. the older the model lancers did not come with all the airbags as standard. they came as an optional extra.
I think it was made standard on the ES in 2011 onwards ? in order to meet 5 star ancap?
All Evo X models also have airbags however the car is also a bit wider and everything fits.
You can fit the evo X recaros in your lancer but they will prevent your side airbags from correctly deploying. If your car does not have side airbags as some older lancers do not. you are OK and have nothing to worry about.
