I didn't know easter hats were a 'thing' either, until the secretary to the GM at my workplace spread a companywide email saying to come dressed with easter hats and the best ones would win a prize...

I didnt read the link...im not awake enough yet lol...But eggs are a symbol of new life and re-birth. re: Jesus rising again.
