Armor all

Postby belle_tb_ES » Mon Jan 07, 2013 7:11 pm

Just wondering, has anyone used armour all on their car? Particularly to clean the dash. Just a random question...because the other day I used it on someone else's car...but have been told today that it can actually be bad for the dash ; by increasing its chances of cracking. It has quite a few bad reviews...

If it is...at least it's better to warn other people in case they decide to use it

Thanks all

I used it regularly in the past and never actually had a problem with it.

I also heard it wasn't a good choice, so I changed to Autoglym to be safe.

Just sounds like a grand generalisation for someone who doesn't use/like the brand. Go ahead and use whatever you like so long as you get good results from it

I have been using it for about 30 years never a problem unless you put too much on etc .
I normaly put it on the cloth then wipe not directly on the dash etc

i was told by the Mitsubishi dealer themselves when I was purchasing the car not to use Armor All as it dries out interior components over time, particularly the leather. I use Autoglym and Meguiars

I use to use armor all from auto smart on the dashes. It's safe to use on the dash. But now i use a spray can that's called Dash Dandy from auto smart It's pritty amazion stuff, has a beautiful perfume smell and adds a shine coat on the dash and protect dashes from the sun drying and becoming brittle. Get it from autosmart truck that comes from canberra. Pritty sure they do place around Brisbane Sydney etc

I used Armor all, and other brands as well (including the ones that sell you in car parks, I think they are called F1 or something)

I don't mind it, but only for general duties

If you are really into detailing and stuff, Autoglym/Meguiars/Mothers seems to have a better range of products available

Also, Meguiars car wash smells better then Mothers, just on a side note =P
