4-2-1 extractors.. can anyone tell me and find me the best or best for its price?
cams ?
is a high flow cat needed ? will i lose back pressure since N/A cars need it ?
lighter fly wheel ? has anyone done it, let me know

H Performance probably are probably the cheapest place to get 4-2-1 headers. It's a overseas company though
A couple of us have gotten it shipped from there without hassles, me included. It's still works out quite abit cheaper including shipping compared to buying from RPW in Australia.

Some members on the club have a high flow cat installed. It's really a personal choice. On a NA car, the gains would probably be minimal. But on the other hand, any gains on a NA car is a good thing!
Another thing to keep in mind. I believe most 100/200 cpi cats are not compliant in Australia. That being said, if your exhaust is not ridiculously loud, I highly doubt the authorities will pick you up on it.

Go-fast mods are only a waste of money if you're going to sell the car within a short period of time. Buyers will also perceive any mechanical changes as a bad thing, thinking the car's service life will shorten, so you'd end up getting less in spite of spending more for your ride. What do you plan to get after the Ps are gone anyway?

Flywheel to me theres no point, dont think people have done it as well?

your list now adds up to about 2k. throw an intake kit in there 200 and a tune another 200. you have about 100fwkw
then u wana do handling work. at most i would recommend coilovers and wheels and tires. budget about 3.5 for that
so we have a 6k mod list for now.
take 6k away from your savings towards the car when you get off your ps. for the enjoyment of the remainder of your p plater life.
Worth it? to me, no, atleast not for the lancer. but thats me, if everyone thought like that we would not have any interesting cars.

if you are only keeping the car for a few years i wouldnt invest too much into it. Alex is right in saying the money you could save not spending on this car could go towards your next one.
resale wise, performance modifications will cut your market of buyers as these cars are a popular family car. Wouldnt bother with these like cams, flywheel, short shifter, tuning.
I would suggest sticking to only small modifications and possible things that can be removed if need be.

I went through this when I was young. Spent some money on a car, but never got any "real" performance.
I'd save your cash on the mods for buying a new car when you get your P's. You might even get better resale value on your current car by not modifying it.

If your going to do it.
Do all the bolt-ons
Intake, headers and exhaust = Short shifter and be done with it,.
Forget cams and flywheel... Not alot of benefit for the costs involved.
Plus you run the risk of clutch chatter with a lightweight flywheel.
Plus If you like the noise (exhaust/ Intake) thats all you need.
