The dealership would charge the earth for it
http://www.clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=8147 so an aftermarket one that looks the same is the way to go.

Your Favourite Lancer Mod

Postby Marek » Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:43 pm

As I've spent far too much on modding my Lancer, I had a long think about which single mod purchase I've been most happy about. For me, spending a few thousand on upgrading the audio has by far given me the most joy but let's not count that this time as it's by far the most expensive purchase. My initial thought was the coilovers and cambered wheels but coupled with the small problem of high driveways, speed bumps and heavy wear on the tyres this wasn't it - even though I've thoroughly enjoyed it!

Believe it or not, for the small cost and semi-easy installation, the single purchase I would get over and over again on a new Lancer would be the Torque Solution short shifter (with metal bushings) for roughly $140 with shipping. I'm very happy with how it's performing months after installation and thoroughly enjoy the faster shifts everyday.

So, what's your favourite mod purchase?

I'd have to say my OEM led tail lights with the smoked lens is my favorite mod to date. There so good that the drivers behind me actually stop without hitting my rear bumper :p
