Well I'm glad that's all sorted out and explained.

It's definitely not a Write-Off Brenton ..... but unfortunately your bank balance might be after you pay the Excess on your Insurance Policy.

Oh well .... hope all the repairs go well ....

How'd you manage to reverse half a car length into a ute without noticing? *confused*

Your looking at around $5k in repair costs. Rear quarter panels are never cheap to repair considering the amount of work that has to go into it. Most repairers wont even bother trying to fix it they will just order a new one same with your door.

As long as you got insurance your fine. If you dont have insurance your looking at $5k minimum and around 3-4weeks without a car

Atleast Ben gets the point of the thread...

Brenton, i hope your car is ok - the damage is always easily fixed, your wallet not so much..

If you had got the rear bumper a bit more, could have got a evo x replica rear replacement :P. Hope all goes well with the car though.

I have a small crack in the lower right of my bumper and when I got a quote it was 2grand on mate rates to get fixed up, might be cheaper for you to get the door fixed and just buy a new kit for a couple grand

or you can do what I did and slap a band-aid on it till it heals up

The pics aren't loading for me fully (stupid capped internet)
But if you've got any small dents or scrapes - even slight holes, look at paint less dent removal.
It's a lot cheaper than repairing it, and providing they do the job properly, just as good.
Saves your wallet for now

Ouch.
Good luck. make sure you really shop around then, if your excess is going to be 1k. I take it you're young, hence the huge excess?
I'd get the most expensive quotes and hand them in to the insurer :P
