I just had to say this:
I built my first PC .... about 1980 - before some of you were born
Applied Technology Microbee - 8kb of memory.
Later upgraded it to 16k .... scary stuff. I got nose bleeds from such speed.
Funny thing is, they've just announced they are rereleasing it.

I built my first last year, then after a few friends saw it I've built PCs for them too.
Antec 300 case with a few more fans in there, and a 5/12V switch panel for them. All of the fans currently have resistors, so they don't actually get that much power.
AMD AM3 Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz
4GB DDR3 1333 RAM, will put another 4GB in when the need arises
Gigabyte GTX460 factory overclocked
1TB HDD, nothing special
LG disc drive, the Lite-On drive I had failed a couple of months ago.
550W Antec TruePower PSU
24" LG monitor
Creative T3130 2.1 speakers I bought in Thailand
Logitech MX-518 mouse, absolutely love this thing
Logitech K200 keyboard from Hong Kong, complete with Chinese characters
I plan to one day get more RAM, a SSD, cut a window in it (once I find suitable rubber to cover up the hacked metal), then install blue LEDs.

nvidia geforce 9800 gt 1gb

lg dvd + bluray burner
All incased in a fractal design r3 case (soundproofed case )
logitect g15 keyboard and performance mx mouse
2 x 24" asus wall mounted
Originally built for games, but no longer play games but it doesnt go to waste, the power comes in handy when it comes to photo editing.

I built my computer exactly 1 year ago, lol.
Case: Coolermaster HAF-X
CPU: i7 2600k @ 4.8ghz, using the Noctua NH-D14 cooler.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68-UD5
Hard Drives: OCZ Agility 3 60gb SSD and a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
PSU: Corsair HX-850
GPU: I've got 2 EVGA GTX 570's in SLI
And I've just got an ASUS lightscribe for my optical drive.
You can see in my picture the computer, it has 4 200mm from Coolermaster and a 140mm in the back.. all of them with blue LEDs. at the front I have the Scythe Kaze Master Pro fan controller.. works awesome
Also you get a shot of one of my guitar amps, my keyboard and mouse (Razer Lycosa and R.A.T 5) and my monitors (Samsung BX2450 and an old Dell 17").. also my speakers (logitech z506) and my iphone 4 that I got for my birthday
Oh and Modern Warfare 2 is on the screen
big wall of text lol took a while to write :S
