My new vehicle
Went shopping today. Bought myself a new mode of transport. Check out my garage. There's a photo there. It's white with blue stripes

Nice, you've got a pilot license or training?
... tho that propeller... it is quite small and being single engine, what's the "backup", other than gliding? I think i might take the risk with Sydney roads.

Hubby has his Private Pilots License Pete. I'm going to start properly soon. I have had a lesson and we've all been flying from the passenger seat for a while now
The prop is actually a big one. We're looking to go back from the 64" to a 60". They cruise better with the smaller prop and go faster. Gliding is good They do that quite well.

We're putting some extra you beaut instruments in her and we're looking at getting the smaller cruise prop. It does around 120 knots now but we want to go faster. With the proper prop they can do between 135 and 150 knots. Converts to a lot of km/hr

Actually Matt going to Qld is one of the reasons we bought her. We've moved out west and it's further to go visit the kids in Brisbane. We decided that instead of 12 hours we'd rather do it in around 3 somewhere.

About 4 Lancer SXs with the extra instruments and different prop Somewhere north of $80K. It was $79K before we started adding the good stuff. Unfortunately just one instrument costs between $1500 and $2500. Some are close to $4000.
The funny thing is that Hubby will put "mods" in the plane but I'm not allowed to in the cars. The Bubble needs a new stereo (the old one is completely stuffed and the only thing that works is the radio which is OK since we have to use an FM Transmitter to listen to our iPods) and alloys among other things.
I told him that I was asked if we had any mods yet and he laughed and said "yes, of course". Now to get him to let us play with the cars as well. But with the cost of doing stuff for the plane I think the cars are going to have to wait.
