Ipad 2

Went out and got an iPad 2 from my local BigW. Was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, but the thing is pretty cool.
I was thinking that the screen may not be large enough for browsing, but actually it's pretty good. Very nice size and thickness.
So far, it's great for Youtube and browsing. Internet radio works quite well, although the single speaker is disappointing. Very responsive and smooth.

It was the black 16GB Wifi one for $558, which is about $20 cheaper than RRP as well.

Hey Danny I have the iPad 2 as well it is sweet good for browsing like you said definitely worth getting. I went all out and got the white 64gb wifi-3G

The only complaint I have now is that it really needs that smart cover or a stand. It sort of sucks lying on the bed and trying to watch a video on a flat object.

I've purchased an all-in-one case which has a smart cover as well, but that won't come in at least 2 weeks time.

I bought an iPad1 16gb for cheap recently with the sales ($380 at JB). Suits my Mum's needs perfectly- she wanted a way of playing Bejewelled but on a bigger screen than the iPhone, an ability to surf the net in bed, or watch movies on the plane, an easy to access/turn on device to check emails/pick up easily, etc...

I personally have zero need for it. As "cool" or "trendy" as it may be, even with my corporate email/work on it, it'd still be difficult to justify a need for it. I'd rather use my Macbook Air which is ultra portable but still has all the functionality of a computer.
