Your Next Car?
So guys and girls, what do you want for your next car?
I don't mean what your dream car is, I mean what you're hoping to get next time
I know plans often don't eventuate, but I'm planning to keep my lancer for a long time and to get a second car as a weekender. I'm waiting on the Toyota FT-86 and all the final info (especially price), as next time I want a nimble RWD car. (I don't even know if its coming to Oz yet ).
If not, theres always skylines and silvias, but they're old and thrashed mostly...

I think I would change from power to sheer drive-ability and fun. Just like your statement Jake, I would go down the nimble path.
Probably a Lotus Exige or Elise - the car I was set to buy instead of the Ralliart in 2008. Couldn't afford a new Exige, so would go for a 5 year old one with low k's. As for the Elise, I think I like the 2002-2010 shape over the new 2011's. And for only 100kw's of power it can still do the 0-100 in 6.5 secs which is about what stock Ra's can do anyway. The Exige can do it around the 4.6 mark.
With that being said, I would also wait to see the specs and price of the FT-86, the Subaru counterpart, news of the Hyundai Genesis coming to Aus.
If I was downgrading to a car around the 25k or less I would test drive the Kia Koup as it looks decent as well.

For me it is the Alfa 4C.
I fell in love as soon as I saw it and then I read up on it and now I'd sell my lancer, my computer and pretty much everything else I own to get one (I'll probably have to do just that )
My gf is very upset because she wants me to buy a house, but how can you pass up a RWD, 1.75ltr turbo charged, Italian beauty that weighs in at only 850kg? It is like the Supermodel of the car world!!!
A bit pic heavy, but I'm sure you will understand
I just hope it comes here at a price that is realistic....

I've always said 123d:
Though the rumours of a A3 sedan got me thinking:
But I too admit the FT86 would be a real attractive option:

Just something to think about.
Thanks for the update

Re: R35 GTR
Compulsory Servicing every 5000km at a Nissan Dealership. No option.
That I cannot accept. So I'll have to pass on that.
I may like the look and idea of driving one but it isn't practical as a daily driver.
