well when i say 9.5 hours was awesome my wife had first stage ( not to painful) for 8.75 hr and then second stage ( most painful with rapid contractions and lots of pushing) for 40 mins ( actually only go to hospital 40 mins before baby was born) and 3rd stage for 5 mins.

so even for my wife having her first child she is fully recovered and very pleased she had such a easy labour.

Thanks for all the kind wishes everyone, still in hospital till saturday.

Cheers
Tate

to quote my wife " is there some pain relief i can have? "

to quote midwife " no your way to late for anything, just have to get it over and done with now"

although my wife was adamant she wouldnt have any drugs, in the end she couldnt anyway.
