Na, its the Citroen/Peug version of the Outlander. So its basically exactly the same as the Outlander except for the front sheet metal.
And since the outlander came out before the Lancer.. technically the Lancer's interior is copied off from the Outlander

it's a japanese design, sold to PSA group. As it's from mitsubishi, the lancer interior borns from the outlander's, but in the peugeot or citroën you'll only find this design in this model.
I personally think this kind of strategies are good. They make the car cheaper because you don't have to invest in design, and the interior is already well tested and possible problems or sounds may be fixed. Although in this case... lancer's interior is not the best in the world.

Agreed with you Jon. It's good for the industry as it cuts down costs and ensures that manufacturers can continue to produce new car designs which appeal to different markets without having to reinvent the wheel each time. That being said, manufacturers also need to be aware of the risks of sharing designs in that creating homogeneous interiors if anything can detract from the value of a car especially the upper segments.

Parts sharing, everyone does it. I think the Hyundai i45 has similar air con dials to the Lancer aswell. Many cars would as they probably use the same parts supplier. Some of the new Alfa's coming out have lots of similarities to the Lancer/Outlander interior.
The only reason why Evo interiors look different to the normal Lancers are the different materials used. Other than that they are identical bar different flashy bits

If I bought a $47k Peugeot 4007 and discovered the interior was the same as a $34k Outlander I'd be a BIT pissed.
Parts share engines etc but not the interior! You'd sit in your car and think 'I love my Peug- oh wait'.
And yeah car makers are lazy now... The dials and central screen design in our lancer's have has been around a while and is in nearly everything now...

I'm liking the new Hyundais a lot visually but they carry a stigma imo.

Just saw the Kizashi yesterday during the parts run at PMR.
Top of the line model they had there quoted at A$39,990 drive away for a 2.5L CVT.

It also has a sunroof, Rockford, dusk sensing HIDs, rain sensing wipers full leather interior which is very plushy. Door close is very nice and solid. No tin-ny sound. The biggest +? Memory controlled seats.

Strangely has no bluetooth, no front top strut bar, no rear sway bar, air intake box is placed very strangely. Paddle shifters are plastic so feels cheap and out of place.
Didn't ask if it was a 4WD model.
Priced to compete with a Mazda 6, VW Jetta, etc.
The base model is A$25K drive away I'm told.
But based on what I saw, I'd much rather buy a fully tripped out Aspire OR base model RA.
