New thing I love about my lancer (and as I recall it's an M10 thing) Synchronised windscreen washer jets. It works really well, especially with some bug remover additive in the washer bottle.
The washer jets and wipers in general were crap in my old car.

The jets squirt once (and it's like a spray bottle on mist rather then jet) then the wipers swipe once, pause, squirt and swipe 3 times, pause for 3 ticks then swipe again.
Basically it's similar to the way old fighter planes had the machine gun synchronised to the propeller blade so you didn't shoot your prop to bits.
Water squirts between wiper swipes rather then being a constant jet. Also means you don't have your wipers scraping the 'screen before it's damp.

Can you verify this? Sounds like the "Intelligent Washer" function as per the manual in Chapter 3 from memory. (Don't ask me for the page number, it's I think late 60's or early 70s).SIR-VRX wrote:ahhhh we all wondered what that meant when my10 specs came out

I will confirm on Sunday, with a MY10 owner at our meet.
I'd have to say the N.o1 thing is the keyless operation...
a few other points,
* I know its a stupid thing to say its a favourite thing but in the sportback how you have those two handles in the boot to lower the back seats !
* The way I caught someone taking a photo of my CJ, and I noticed they drove off in their own CJ.
* The way it says Welcome and Goodbye and I have to say Welcome and Goodbye back to it, unless there is someone else in the car with me !
* The smile it puts on my face when I have to drive somewhere.

The great styling and road handling, particularly for a car of this cost.
Also, actually the CVT (2.4l). For everyday and weekend on-road driving it transforms the driving experience very positively, once you get used to how it works and how to use it. You need to learn a slightly different relationship between accelerator control and desired response, and it took me a while for this to become second nature. Now I find the CVT to provide a really significant advance in daily motoring experience - fixed gears, stepped downshifts and upshifts now seem primitive and rough by comparison.
