ClubCJ WA - Cruise/BBQ 10/04/2010 *Pics Page 5+*

Postby Graham » Wed Mar 24, 2010 9:53 pm

G'day Fellow WA members,

Club CJ are hosting a BBQ for our members and we will also be cruising around 8)

The BBQ will be free to Premium Members or $3 for non premium members.

Meetpoint will be at the car park on the corner of Riverside Drive/Causeway. If you are unsure where this is please post up and I will try explain it better/provide a picture :D

Meet time will be 10:00AM for a 10:30AM Departure.

One of our sponsors, Racing Performance Works (RPW) have kindly offered to host the BBQ at their place so the cruise will be heading there first off and then we will be heading up the Freeway and then down the coast to Fremantle.

Hopefuly we will get to meet some of the new members who have recently signed up :)

There will also be an unrelated cruise the same night meeting at the same meetpoint at 8:00pm and departing at 8:45pm which I will be attending, so if you are unable to make it in the day or feel like cruising all day/night you're more than welcome to come along to this cruise aswell, post up here or PM me for more details :)

Cheers
Graham

I doesn't have a portable BBQ :(
A few cruises at night people have done that though, it's a pretty good idea, and at midnight in the hills people are usually hungry so they raise a bit of $$ (for charity) :)

Sweet, I might have a few small mods by then too, maybe :)

Good investment, about $60 for the bbq, $30 for a gas bottle... :)

I'd be too scared the gas bottle would explode when I go around corners

Yeah the super soakers were epic :P I had the broken one to start with lol but we ended up just throwing water with bottles or whatever we could :P

I can help you fit 'em all, I did mine it took a while because I couldn't raise the car (and I don't trust car jacks while im under the car) but it's doable :)

EDIT:

Pics i found on FB of the spot @ two rocks.. not the best pics im sorry

If we are doing a BBQ in the northern suburbs somewhere I will definitely try and make it and meet you guys there.
Can talk cars, mods etc and get some pics.

Sorry but the only good BBQ place I can think of with covered benches lawn space, etc on the coast up North is the park area at Mullaloo beach, in front of the pub.

No alcohol allowed of course, unless we nick into the pub for the driving responsibly 1 or 2 standard drinks only. LOL

Only other thought is the inner beach/park area at Hillarys Boat harbour. Not sure if there are BBQs there though.
There is plenty of wide open parking space in the north carpark to all park together and get photos.

I look forward to any other suggestions. :D

If you can head north, RPW would be happy to host a barbeque at our Osborne Park premises. I have a barbeque here and cold water / fridge. Would be easy to organise. Could even put a few cars on the dyno (Not too many maybe 3 - 4, and even tweak the maps whilst on the dyno if you wanted to make more of a day of it.

Could also do some flash tunes for anyone at the same time. People could see some of our products and have a general chat.

Just an idea

That is a good idea David.

How are the repairs coming??? I can only imagine the damn mess.
Of course the storms/gust front had to come in from the North, the direction all the vertical skylight panels face.
if it had been a southerly there probably wouldnt have been a single hole as the hail isnt going through corrugated iron.

I hope you are making good process. Its times like this you can see how your off site electronic data backups pay off.

May make this one, will have to see closer to the date as usual.

As for BBQ spots, how about the Trigg beach area? They have a couple of BBQs there... And the drive along the coast will have nice beach views :) I think it's called West Coast Highway?

That sounds like a great idea, thanks David
Is everyone else keen on this?

Perhaps afterwards we could head down scarb beach road then head south or north along the coast, i'd need to check google maps to see which way would be better though
