Double Demerit Weekend - Handy site for traffic information.

Postby Graham » Mon Nov 30, 2009 6:49 pm

This site will show you information on permenantly fixed speed cameras and speed cameras made available by the Police and also allows people to submit locations where they've seen speed cameras, accidents, police presence and broken traffic lights. - They're working on making it iPhone friendly but it uses google maps, so if your phone supports google maps via browser it might work :P

EDIT:

Being a DD weekend I edited the title, please take care when driving and watch your speed, even if moving with the flow of traffic.
Check out this site to see if any speed cameras may be on a route you're travelling :P

I for one print out the radar locations from the police website every week. It has saved me from getting caught even doing less than 5-10kmh over on a number of occasions.

Thanks Graham, I totally forgot being a long weekend it will be DD.

You could also drive at the speed limit as it is a lot easier and safer!!

Yeah I check that site every now and then too whenever I go somewhere :)

Easier said than done to not speed though, sometimes moving on the freeway with the flow of traffic is all it takes to get flashed by a speed camera, however I do agree, don't speed and you won't get caught ;)
