From memory it must be Aus/NZ approved with the sticker, there might be more info on the website in the first post though

No idea about size sorry

I like this one!!

yeah to my knowledge all insurance is non exhistent when you get on the track. i would have personally loved a head to head race on the track though haha

regarding insurance the track cannot answer the question as all policies can be different..

to find out if you're covered you'll need to ask your insurance company, just tell them it's driver education or an advanced driving course or something :P

I'll give SGIO a call tomorrow if I remember

hope for the best :)

I get new brakes this week, I was going to get EBC greenstuff but they're $190 for the front 2 pads (I was expecting 150ish) and theres another set which are basically just as good but the greenstuff work better at higher temperatures for $50 for the front set.

$50 for rear set aswell so $100 for 4 new brakes :)

picked up my new brakes today, I'll put 'em in tomorrow or saturday probably.

I called SGIO about insurance and they said that I'm covered under the following conditions:

1.) I report that I'm going to a track (done)
2.) Laps are not timed (pfft :P)
3.) I do not exceed 110km/h
4.) The event does not go for more than 2 days

I think there was a fifth but I can't remember...

Call up your insurance companies and see what their policies are :)

I know over here in the eastern states no insurance company will cover in a track day situation. (shannons may be an exception) You can get track day insurance, but the price is stupid.

If you want something that works on a track, EBC greenstuff are rubbish. I destroyed a set in about 3 sessions on the track.

Running QFM A1RM now, and they are equivalent to a Ferodo DS2500, and cost $120 a set. I can vouch for them on some spirited mountain driving. Can't on the track as yet. My mate runs DS3000s in his Evo 7 Rally car and swears by them.

ohhh weird did the brakes set in for the 1500km or whatever they recommend?

I got the RDX ultimax ones which are just below the greenstuff so hopefuly they work okay :P

I think SGIO cover it because it's a "driver education" or "advanced driving course" but I doubt I'll have an accident, I'll take it easy the first few laps

The pads had done plenty on the road first... When I pulled them out the other week they still had heaps of meat... They also had heaps of heat cracks...

Greenstuff are also very hard on your discs.

Well i spoke to AAMI who confirmed they will NOT cover me at all. Period.

As there is no instructor in the car (to make it driver training) I am stuffed...
