Don't know much about mapping and flashes but I don't really want to lose any fuel economy...
How far north is RPW? Making it sound ages away :D

i dont mind the rpw idea sounds good also bad news cai has detached again.... as was pulling out of mates driveway and driving out engine note changed... opened the bonnet and sigh out it was again staring straight at me... will probs have 2 swing by rpw tomom hopefully they are open.....

i may have an idea how to fix it so it doesnt have that massive u bend at the top

will take a lot of work (i think) if ur interested

i thinking bout doing it to mine but i want the 15000km service first

We found with the colt air kits to do two things

(A) Use a very small amount of super glue on the main plastic adapter, two drops to stop it from rattling off

(B) We now also ensure the flexible hose has plenty of movement in it and ensure its cable tied to the adaptor so it can't slide off.

i like the idea of having the bbq at rpw
i wudnt mind chucking my car on the dyno since mitsiman offered
i wud only be able to come for the lunch as i have a game down at rockingham at 3 so yeh!
