[WA] Chat Thread
Moderators: Moderators, Senior Moderators
thanks Troy
and yep you hit the nail on the head - our main concern obviously here in WA is that we aren't as big and therefore the "one size fits all" admin/mod structure may not work in our favour. i imagine this applies also to you in SA.
as Jake pointed out, there may not actually be any WA members willing to take on an Admin role, and if that is the case, at least 2 mods will help us out. those mods currently might not (and in Jake's case will not) be able to conform to the strict requirements Ofey has put forward. if this is relaxed just for mods, i think that will benefit all states, not just ours.
Jake, even if you were just "trying to protect" your mod status, it's still valid what you've suggested

lol, good point. i guess you probably are on your own out there in Temora, as with other regional NSW members!
we're the same here though, i think we only have one active member outside of Perth metro. couldn't imagine any member elsewhere in the state being able to get too involved outside of the forums with the distance over here though anyway unfortunately!
"voice of WA"... i like that one
i definitely think we should push the mod point here, or WA will suffer for it. I, for example, meet the requirments for a mod, but i'd rather leave that to others thanks
i'm not pushing any points on Ofey, he already took offence to my way of trying to convey my opinion lol. so it would be a good idea actually Jake to collate any points made here and put them to Ofey in the other thread.

I'm stating my opinions, people can disagree/correct them if they want. If ever there's been a time for discussion its now
I'm not sure I'll be running to stay a mod even if I can anyway... Reality is setting in that this is serious stuff and I'm not sure I want the responsibility.
Its early days but is anybody thinking about putting their hand up?
Its concerning me that maybe none of us want to be mods now that the club is going into serious-mode, and with all the drama/fiascos lately.

Jake it is not going in to serious mode, more a protect mode.
At present as a moderator you could possible held responsible in a court of law if some one had an accident on a cruise.
Going incorporate protects us all from things like this and more.
Arfiz, the club has needed to start doing things like a proper organisation now for legal reasons etc.
There are so many member that there has to be a strict system, with clearly placed responsibilities.
However now it seems like the income thing no longer applies (and never actually applied) to mods. Only to Admins and senior mods.
And currently theres going to be 3 mods per state plus wherever the Admins end up... I think....
I want to say; if it were the case we were to just have 1 mod again, I'd be happy for it to be Graham, but he'd need to be a little more active than he is now
