A random discussion at work the other day somehow turned into the Hutt River, I had never heard of this before so I checked it out on wikipedia and was quite shocked at what I found...

Hutt River Wikipedia Page..

The Principality of Hutt River, previously known as Hutt River Province, is Australia's oldest micronation. The principality has claimed to be an independent sovereign state since its foundation but it is not de jure recognized by the Commonwealth of Australia or any other international entity. [1]

The principality is located on a large farming property 517 km north of Perth, near the town of Northampton.

The principality was founded on April 21, 1970 by Leonard George Casley (born August 28, 1925),[2] when he and his associates proclaimed their secession from the state of Western Australia. Casley now styles himself "His Royal Highness Prince Leonard I".

I wanna go there :D

Theres also a place in WA called "Lol Gray"... I wanna go there too

Heard of it before in my many internet travelz.
Its all fine until when he decides to declare himself royalty, that is just ridiculous.
Then again I think all 'royalty' is ridiculous...

I have no interest in going there, its just some bush and farms :P

I was born in Geraldton which shouldn't be more than 130km away from that place... Never actually heard anyone talk about it, even there, so must be pretty unimportant. Lol.

The wiki page is quite interesting... WA basically doesn't like them but can't be bothered doing anything about them. They don't pay taxes or anything, I should move there :P
