And the worst thing, my enigine cover, springs and lower i/c pipes have landed in Brisbane but can't get to my house ....... not really but still sad about that
Have just packed up my Grandma's house and my mum and dads house, both are expected to go under tonight, also have several friends now trapped in areas around Brisbane like new farm and west end.
This is just crazy!

Just to let you know and give you my perspective.....
Damo, 'Xciting' - Our XR5 comrade - he and his g/f are currently sandbagged into their ground floor Bulimba Apartment, waiting on the floodpeak at 4am.... They have an upstairs/downstair unit, so have moved everything up a level - but are still expecting it to be lapping at their door, or worse.... They're in for a long night.
We were one of the lucky ones at Morayfield yesterday, as our house is high in the estate, but the access into it via Walkers Rd and Settlement Rd were cut off yesterday afternoon.
I bailed from work in the city about 1pm, and trains were being cut back down the line, and ended up being stopped at Bald Hills with all the destruction from the Pine River ahead.
The wife and kids got collected by some family of ours and they went and rescued the CJ from Petrie station. They got out to Kippa Ring to family's place.
Not having a way to reach them, or for them to get to me, I jumped trains at Northgate and got picked up at Sandgate by some other Redcliffe family...
We stayed the night there, and returned today after the water receeded....
I'll be attempting to get back to work tomorrow at the Mater Hospital, so am hoping the trains are still running, and that Brisbane is still there...
Good Luck Brisbane - our thoughts are with all of you.

Damo is still fighting with the river - and will be for a while I'd expect....
I have not heard from him for about 24hrs now.... and I know he has no electricity either, so I'm sure he's saving his phone power
Good Luck again Brisbane for night No: 2 and another high tide in the early morning.

Yes Same Here Pete .... Thinking of all who are affected ...
I was Just watching the late news and listening to some of the story's coming though and one was from the Helicopter rescue Pilot and he was saying how they rescued so many People But had seen People swept away and the poor Guy broke down and cried and was saying he hasn't seen any thing like this Disaster in all his 35 yrs of Rescue ... It was heartbreaking seeing him Break down , And to make matters worse his house was flooded

Angels Are Sometimes Disguised As Friends
This is my work at Rocklea. The last few days have just been throwing basically everything out. Thankfully we saved most of the Defence assets, however unsure of the calibration equipment... Looks as though we could be working out of the RAAF base at Amberley for a while. I don't mind though - I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning!
Hope that everyone from the club and their families/friends are safe and dry!

Wow thats some crazy photo's Steve and Cass. I can thank my lucky stars that both my house and work were fine (Although during the week I have been hoping water would go through work as its been so crazy you just cant describe it).
I know what its like to clean the mud Cass. Yesterday on my day off I helped my cousin clean her house and yeah its a b*** to get off and out. Not to mention the smell. I do have photo's but I have been asked not to post up due for it being hard for my cousin to look at. I know she's not on here but I assume she wouldn't want it up here either. Again if anyone needs help cleaning a pair of hands willing to help out on my day off
