rokpapaziz wrote:Merlin has got this stuff sussed. He told me Base map V3 is very good already because a lot of work and a lot of input from various sources has made it in there. After Merlins tune acceleration is much smoother and way more responsive. Glenn put the 3 port in for me just before the tune so that would have helped a lot. But really its not comparable, the difference comes down to his experience and passion for what he does, makes it really clear what the term base map means. also BOOOOOSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Reading your posts makes me way to excited :P

I'm liking the positive feedback on these tunes. Something I might look into when Merlin comes home from Sydney.
I wonder if it's safe to say that QLD may have the fastest NA lancers in oz with the tune, maybe I'm just being biased cause I love QLD :)

Well being that yours is a 2.4L Manual .... you may well have the edge over my 2.4L CVT.

Although I am running Version 23 of Merlins Virtual Tune.
And he's often invited me over to do more development, but I've been to sick and/or busy for most of this year.

But now that you QLD'rs have had a taste, I may have to catch-up with Merlin again, upon his return .... :)

I'm so glad you QLD'rs have been able to arrange Merlin's visit and experience his work.
Seriously ..... A Big Congrats *thumb* to you Cam & Steve's efforts for making it happen.

Thanks again Merlin and everyone who helped organize the tuning sesh. Car feels a lot more responsive and acceleration from a stop start has improved phenomenally since Merlin worked his magic. Feels like the revs climb lots steadier through the rev range, an there is a lot less lag whilst waiting for MIVEC to kick in! :D

Thanks guys for the kind words, it makes it worth the effort to do these tuning sessions.

A huge thank you to Steve (and Sue) for dinner/bed/brekky, lovely people and great staying with them.

It was terrific meeting such a great group of enthusiasts (guys and gals) and especially Marcus, who i think has really had his eyes opened and now has got the (power) bug - poor bloke.

If there is the demand, I would be willing to do it again sometime.

Thanks Merlin! The drive to work this morning was fantastic! I haven't fully explored what the car can do yet but I'm sure there's going to be a lot of stuff I will find out soon! So Stoked *dance*
