I went down and checked the river before I left and it's just starting to spill over it's banks and covering the road where I used to park my car. I'd say this is going to get a fair bit worse for Brisbane residents yet.
well draevon mate i hope everything goes alright mate make sure you are safe and get out early if you feel your not going to be safe

Looks like it's only starting for Brisbane. At least with that one, there's adequate warning beforehand.
I feel sorry for those who were caught out by the flash flooding from Toowoomba and onwards.

Just a reminder for you guys, if you have some spare funds, it wouldn't hurt to give to the Premier's appeal.

I live in Narangba and we've been text and called to evacuate the area. Luckily my house is pretty high up so we're relatively ok, but took the old mans 4WD out for a drive and pretty much every road is cut, went through a smaller section that was covered to grab clean water (they're not sure if the tap water might be affected apparetnly) and basic supplies.
Seems to be easing off a bit atm but still water running everywhere. Two doors down is at the bottom of a flood way and there house is half under :/
Luckily we're about 8M above them at least :p

We got family in Rockhampton, some are up there and some are still down here from Christmas. The ones that are down here are heading back up this week and some of the family are going up to Queensland too; my mother being one of them with her partner in a caravan... They have the idea as they are going up in the Landcruiser (with the caravan too) that they wont be affected by any flooding

The trip has been planned for months and they are heading up still either tomorrow or Thursday. Towns are cut off, some under water and they are still going... Having the phone ring at 2-4 in the morning you know straight away it is a phone call you are not going to like...
