QLD Storms - how is everyone going?

Postby KaiKat » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:55 pm

Hey QLDers,
Couldn't find any other topics so thought i'd start up a topic to see how everyone is after the storms and floods we've had over the past week or so.

I lost power and internet for a few days at the beginning of this week and a large tree fell down and blocked one end of my street. Nearly drove right into lol luckily someone nice attached heaps of glow sticks to it to help people.
Main thing is i'm ok and my CJ are ok :)

So how is everyone else since the storms/floods?

I was at the Gold Coast on the weekend, it rained constantly and the wind was nuts. I had the same thing where a tree fell on the street and spent a bit of time moving branches off the road.

Stayed an extra night and decided to "risk it" when coming back to Brissy on Monday.

As soon as we got out of the Gold Coast, no rain, dry roads, mild breeze.

Pretty good, some flooding so stuck in, few little trees in the back yard down nothing major. Though my evo is now filthy, cant believe I detailed it and now its messy. Have to give a quick was tomorrow for the meet.

That's horrible Steve. Hopefully Nrma won't give u any hassles in ur claim. The clean up must be gross but at least ur car is ok :)

And I completely agree with u Mitch !
