Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows any good mechanics for mods to my Evo X in Brisbane (Northside preferable)?
I used to take my Skyline to Mercury Motorsport at Wilston, had mostly good experiences there but they seem a bit expensive.
Mainly looking for somewhere to get an exhaust, intake and tune done at.

Any good mechanics for mods on N/S Brisbane ??

I've had problems with East coast Customs. Originally I had taken my skyline to them for servicing and mods but I was left waiting over 6 months for a simple quote to get mods done to my Skyline. The excuse I got every time was "we forgot" or "we've been really busy". After that long I decided to go elsewhere and found Mercury Motorsport.
BTW, East Coast Customs have moved to Geebung.

Are you putting on an off the shelf exhaust and intake or something custom? You could fit them yourself if and then get it tuned.
I use Mercury for all the stuff I can't do myself even if they aren't the cheapest. Trent does the tuning now and is making much better results than John used to.

Club CJ's fastest and most powerful Ralliart 349.8kw/ 469hp atw 12.068s 187km/h
I had my exhaust on my Skyline done at Rob Bliss, they did a very good job and had great customer service.
I'm not very knowledgeable about doing stuff myself, I don't want to stuff anything up, If someone else installs and screws it up then at least it'll be fixed (hopefully) for free.
and that sucks you can't make it ScootaX, make sure you come to the next meet up

rob bliss is ok, i got my exhaust done there.
intake?, that depends on how far u want to go, concensus is that the stock intake is more than adequate, ie, theres no power advantage to be had changing it unless your chasing 400 plus killawasps , maybe just a better drop in filter, K & N or similar.
for a tune theres not many in brisbane i could recommend, maybe mercury has got its act together now that trents doing the tuning.

I asked Luke at Mercury about exhausts and everything. He suggested for the exhaust a Tomei ExpremeTi system and for the intake either K&N Typhon or JDM Password system.
I was thinking of the HKS Silent Hi-power exhaust and didn't even think an intake system would really be needed but if i did then maybe maybe a AEM intake or the K&N one.
And for the tune lets hope Mercury has got there act together.
